Shipping & White-Glove Delivery - Insured Worldwide | Hand & Hewn
FROM LAHORE TO YOUR LIVING ROOM

Shipping & Delivery

Your piece survives four centuries of tradition and hundreds of hours of carving. We make certain it also survives the journey.

01

Custom Crating

No flat-pack, no chance. Each piece is wrapped in protective layers and secured inside a custom-built wooden crate made to its exact dimensions, with carved surfaces individually padded.

02

Insured Freight

Your crate travels insured for its full commissioned value, from the workshop floor in Lahore to your doorstep. You receive the tracking details as soon as it ships.

03

Customs, Handled

We prepare the export documentation and coordinate customs clearance so you never stand in line for your own furniture. Applicable duties are disclosed in your quote up front.

04

White-Glove Arrival

For larger commissions, delivery teams carry the piece to its room, unpack it, place it, and remove every trace of packaging. All that remains is the furniture.

Nationwide Across the US. Worldwide by Arrangement.

From New York brownstones to California canyons, most of our pieces travel to American homes — but commissions have found their way around the world. Wherever you are, shipping is quoted with your commission, in writing, before you commit.

THE DETAILS

Shipping Questions, Answered

Who handles customs and import paperwork?

We do. Hand & Hewn prepares all export documentation in Pakistan and coordinates customs clearance into the United States and other destinations. Any applicable import duties for your country are set out in your written quote before you commit, so there are no surprises at the door.

What if my piece is damaged in transit?

Every shipment is insured for the full commissioned value from the moment it leaves the workshop until it is in your home. In the rare event of transit damage, document it on delivery and contact us within 48 hours — the insurance claim is ours to manage, and our artisans repair or rebuild your piece.

How long does shipping take?

International freight, customs clearance, and final delivery typically take 4 to 8 weeks after your piece passes final inspection. This window is already included in the overall 4-to-6-month commission timeline we quote.

Do you deliver inside the home?

White-glove delivery — carrying the piece to its room, unpacking, placement, and removal of all crating — is available for larger commissions such as beds, suites, and credenzas. Standard insured delivery to your door is available for smaller pieces.
